For the past years I have been working in academia in Germany and several other countries, such as the U.S., Sweden and Russia, during which time I was able to gain a lot of experience teaching students with different backgrounds and across all levels of academic studies. I am very comfortable conducting seminars, ranging from smaller to very high numbers of participants, as well as giving lectures in front of hundreds of students. In my previous roles as lecturer, workshop instructor, guest lecturer, thesis advisor and mentor, I have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from my students. Coupled with my undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral experiences, these different teaching assignments, have formed my teaching philosophy. In short, it is to foster a learning environment that provides and promotes motivation, enthusiasm, confidence building, student and teacher accountability and life-long learning connected to the real world.

At Tel Aviv University I am teaching courses for international master’s students on “Research Methods in Political Science – Israeli Politics” at the School of Political Science, Government and International Affairs, “Research Methods in Conflict Resolution and Mediation” as well as on “European Politics and Migration” within the Master’s Program in Global Migration and Policy. All of my courses and workshops are characterized by an interactive and research-based learning approach. It is particularly important for me to impart and foster not just comprehensive understanding of the material, but also to enable my students to gain in-depth and transferable knowledge, analytical capacities and tools and practical skills, that will prove valuable in the workplace – both within and outside of academia.
